Why is this sweater more expensive than average?

Lucid women's wool sweater price details

Because we pay everyone fairly. Because we pay a fair price for sustainable, local materials. But most importantly: because the average isn't expensive enough to guarantee all of this.

We're not math geniuses, but we figure that if you invest in a really sturdy sweater, it will end up costing you less than buying a new one every two years.

Size advice

Marie (Alpine, Marine) is 1m67 tall and wears a size S
Camille (Grey) is 1m62 tall and wears a size S

  • For a slightly more oversized effect, take a size above your usual size.
  • Reminder: wool is a stretchy fibre that relaxes, our sweater will adapt to most body types (so if you usually wear XXL, our XL will also fit you like a glove)

How to care for your sweater?

A wool sweater doesn't need to be washed frequently. Wool is a naturally bactericidal and breathable fiber: it wicks away moisture and neutralizes odors.

Ventilate rather than wash

If your sweater isn't stained, there's no need to machine wash it. Simply hang it out to air dry for a few hours, ideally in a ventilated area. The humidity will help the fiber regain its freshness.

Spot and delicate washing

If washing is really necessary:
By hand : immerse it in cold or lukewarm water (max 30°C) with a special wool detergent, without rubbing or twisting. Press gently to make the soapy water penetrate.
Machine wash : cold "wool" or "delicate" cycle, with minimal spin (400-600 rpm). A laundry net can prevent it from losing its shape.

Drying without deformation

Never wring out violently, put in the dryer or hang directly, this will relax or shrink the fibers. For optimal drying:

  • Squeeze out excess water into a terry towel.
  • Dry the sweater flat on a flat surface, away from sunlight and a direct heat source (no radiator).

Storage and regular maintenance

  • Light brushing from time to time to remove dust and revive the fibers.
  • Anti-pilling : Use a wool comb to remove any lint.
  • Storage : Fold your sweater rather than hanging it to prevent it from losing its shape.

With these simple steps, your wool sweater will retain its shine and softness for years!

TO SET THE NORM, START BY PUTTING ON THE RIGHT SWEATER

Breathtaking

Get ready to be asked where your sweater is from. With a high neck that won't bunch up, a loose , oversized fit that's tight at the waist and cuffs, and a flexible knit , our NEAT sweater is the timeless piece that will quickly become a staple in your wardrobe.

Made from repurposed old clothes

Made from recycled wool, this sweater gives new life to existing fibers (mainly old discarded sweaters) rather than using virgin resources. This is the principle even of the circular economy .

Fun fact: wool can be recycled at least 6 times to recreate clothing and does not necessarily need to be recolored, which greatly reduces its environmental impact .

Stronger than solidity

It's well known that wool is strong. What is less well known, however, is that recycled wool fibres, having already lived a full life (washes, light, everyday wear), have a higher overall resistance than virgin wool. Natural selection, if you will — only the fibres that survived their first life remain.

Our sweater will accompany you season after season, without losing quality or style.

NEAT, the sweater that breathes

Title not at all inspired by a shoe brand. Wool offers natural thermoregulatory, insulating and breathable properties. It retains heat by trapping air in its hollow fibers while wicking away moisture to prevent clammy feet. This unique combination guarantees optimal comfort in a wide range of temperatures.

In addition, its breathable nature eliminates odors .

There are a lot of people in this sweater

Our NEAT sweaters were designed based on over 450 reviews from our community. After consolidating all the feedback to design the perfect piece, we conducted extensive field tests and prototypes to ensure it was flawless!

Result: everyone agrees .

Transparency is at the heart of our approach

Does a recycled wool sweater really have less impact than a standard wool sweater?

-88%
of water consumed
Or the equivalent of 41 baths
NEAT = 0.82 m³ / Standard pull = 6.99 m³
-84%
of CO2 emitted
That's 101 km in a combustion-engine car
NEAT = 2.78 kgCO₂eq / Standard sweater = 16.87 kgCO₂eq
-35%
of energy consumed
Let 479 full phone battery charges
NEAT = 59.3 MJ / Regular Pull = 91.25 MJ
-85%
of transport
Let 43 Paris-Brussels trips
NEAT = 1930 km / Ordinary pull = 13300 km
